At VITA, our paid nine-week internship program is more than a summer opportunity – it’s a chance for students to immerse themselves in meaningful, real-world work that makes a positive impact across the Commonwealth.

Interest in the program grows each year, and this summer we received more than 350 applications from students eager to gain hands-on experience in technology and public service. We’re grateful for the enthusiasm, fresh perspectives and energy our interns bring each summer, and we’re proud to support them as they build valuable skills and connections that shape their future careers.

Throughout the program, interns work closely with VITA’s experienced professionals, engage with industry leaders and contribute to impactful projects across teams such as administration, communications, legislative services, security, supply chain management, finance, data engineering and more.

We’re honored to receive this recognition and deeply appreciate the interns who have completed our program, as well as the internship managers whose hard work and energy make the program experience so valuable.

We look forward to seeing how the program continues to grow and encourage students to be on the lookout for the next round of applications for the summer 2027 cohort as the new year approaches.
