ASP CAPTAIN MARCUS DANIELS GRADUATES FROM FBI NATIONAL ACADEMY

QUANTICO, Va. — Arkansas State Police Captain Marcus Daniels graduated from the 299th session of the FBI National Academy on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026, in Quantico, Virginia. FBI Director Kashyap P. Patel delivered remarks during the graduation ceremony.

Capt. Daniels has nearly 20 years of service with the Arkansas State Police. He began his career with the department in January 2007 and has held numerous assignments, including Highway Patrol, Executive Protection, Training, Patrol Sergeant, Office of Professional Standards Commander, and most recently, Commander for Troop E.

Throughout his career, Capt. Daniels has demonstrated a commitment to leadership, professional development and public service. His honors include the Arkansas State Police Trooper’s Cross.

He has also served as a drill instructor for Arkansas State Police recruiting schools and participated in numerous committees and promotional assessment processes.

Capt. Daniels earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Central Arkansas and has completed extensive specialized training in law enforcement, investigations, leadership and emergency management. He is committed to leading by example, developing others and serving the people of Arkansas.

Capt. Daniels completed the FBI National Academy’s 10-week program of advanced communication, leadership and fitness training. The FBI National Academy, located at the FBI Academy in Quantico, is internationally recognized for its academic excellence and professional-development curriculum.

Attendance at the National Academy is limited to law enforcement leaders with demonstrated records of professional achievement within their agencies. Participants average 21 years of law enforcement experience and often return to their agencies to serve in executive-level positions.

FBI Academy instructors, special agents and other staff members with advanced degrees provide the training. Since 1972, National Academy students have been eligible to earn undergraduate and graduate credit through the University of Virginia, which accredits National Academy courses.

Capt. Daniels joins more than 57,000 law enforcement professionals who have graduated from the FBI National Academy since its establishment in July 1935.
